｜第７回世界伝統宗教指導者会議｜カザフスタンが世界的な関係強化の新たなセンターとなるか？

ローマ法王フランシスコが、東西をつなぐ新たなルート（道筋）の中心として中央アジアのカザフスタン共和国が台頭してくる見通しを提起した。しかし今回は、人間関係と尊重を基盤としたルートの話である。

カザフスタンはかつて、シルクロードと呼ばれる、東西をつなぐルート（交易路）を通る貿易商や旅人たちが出会う場所だった。この２１世紀にあっては、中国が「一帯一路」構想として知られる鉄道や高速道路網を通じた新たなシルクロードを構築しようとしている。

カザフスタンの首都ヌルスルタン（１７日にアスタナに改称）で第「７回世界伝統宗教指導者会議」が９月１４日に開会されるにあたって、ローマ法王は、人間を純然たる物質的な欲望の追求から引き離すこうしたルート（道筋）に新たな定義を与えた。

９月６日に国連が開催した「平和の文化」に関するハイレベルフォーラムは、世界に明確なメッセージを送った。

今回のハイレベルフォーラムは、主権国家であるウクライナが、世界最大の核保有国の一つであり国連安保理の常任理事国であるロシアによって蹂躙されているときにあって、平和の重要性を強調した。

同時に、シリアやイエメン、イラク、エチオピア、リビア、ミャンマーで発生している数多くの軍事紛争と終わりなき内戦においてもまた、平和的解決と政治的安定性が待ち望まれている。
