アフリカ東部のタンザニアでは、女性たちは依然として社会の主流から取り残され、概してあまり期待されることのない役割に留め置かれている。彼女たちは、時として女性を生死の淵にまで追い込む偏った男性優位の体制の下で、しばしば、差別や、男性のパートナーからの暴力に苦しんでいるほか、自らの能力を十分に発揮しえないような様々な障害に直面している。

VIENNA (IDN) – A comfort often overlooked, the water served at the Vienna UN headquarters is locally sourced from mountains outside of the city. In Austria, water is a point of pride. This developed nation’s water sector is committed not only to quality water systems but also to sustainable practices regarding the water and waste industry.
