SDGs for All is a joint media project of the global news organization International Press Syndicate (INPS) and the lay Buddhist network Soka Gakkai International (SGI). It aims to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are at the heart of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a comprehensive, far-reaching and people-centred set of universal and transformative goals and targets. It offers in-depth news and analyses of local, national, regional and global action for people, planet and prosperity. UNITED NATIONS (IDN) – Ang ating karagatan ay mahalaga sa ating ibinabahaging kinabukasan at pangkalahatang pagkatao sa lahat ng sari-saring uri nito. Sakop ng ating karagatan ang tatlong sangkapat ng ating planeta, nagkokonekta sa ating mga populasyon at merkado, at bumubuo ng mahalagang bahagi ng ating likas at pangkulturang pamana.

Nagsusuplay ito ng halos kalahati ng oxygen na ating nilalanghap, hinihigop ang mahigit sa sangkapat ng carbon dioxide na nililikha natin, gumaganap sa mahalagang papel sa siklo ng tubig at ang sistema ng klima, at mahalagang pinagkukunan ng biodibersidad ng ating planeta at ng mga serbisyo ng ecosystem.

PERSERIKATAN BANGSA-BANGSA (IDN) – Laut sangatlah penting bagi kemanusiaan dan masa depan kita bersama dalam seluruh keberagamannya. Laut menyelimuti tiga perempat bagian dari planet kita, menghubungkan populasi dan pasar, dan merupakan bagian yang penting dari warisan alam dan kebudayaan kita.

Laut menyediakan hampir setengah dari oksigen yang kita hirup, menyerap lebih dari seperempat karbon dioksida yang kita embuskan, memegang peranan penting dalam siklus perairan dan sistem iklim, serta merupakan sumber penting bagi keanekaragaman hayati dan ekosistem planet kita.

HARARE (IDN) – Logo que o crepúsculo cai, Petina Dube sai da sua casa equilibrando um saco cheio de lixo que estava no seu quintal por recolher no meio das denúncias de que os coletores de lixo municipais não têm combustível para levarem a cabo o trabalho deles em muitas áreas residenciais na capital zimbabuense, Harare.

Aos 43 anos, Dube, residente nos subúrbios densamente povoados de Warren Park em Harare, aparentemente não se preocupa para onde irá o lixo depois de o jogar fora. “Francamente, não estou preocupada em saber onde é que este lixo irá acabar; vou apenas despejá-lo para um riacho não muito longe daqui,” diz Dube.
